Hi to all travelers along the Great Silk Road!  

My name is Ruslan Rakhmonov from Nurata town and I would like to welcome you to our homestay.Our doors are always open to all of you. Be part of our family to experience our culture, food and clean environment. We have also homestay accommodation for tourists. I live with my family in Nurata town. I am local basic French and English- speaking guide in the villages of Nurata Mountains. I have been working in travel agencies since 2012y. I can organize your journey mountain trekking, outdoor activities, cycling tour, homestays, and village experience tours, yurt camping and camel tours around Nurata area. It is a unique geographical location where mountains, desert and vast lakes come together. If you would like to come to our homestay in Nurata we will discover Eco tours 2 days, 3days max 6 days of Nuratau Mountain Range with Kyzl-Kum desert and Lake Aydar in north. I will give you advice out activities when you plan trips around Nurata Kyzyl-kum area, so don`t hesitate to contact me and I will try my best to help you. The Guest House / La maison d'hôte

• Ruslan`s Guesthouse is located near attraction place “Chashma”.  It has four big rooms  decorated with typical Tadjik wall ornaments. Ruslan`s Guesthouse family produces Suzani handmade traditional embroidery for delight inside room. In the beautiful shady yard and a cosy Ayvon for visitors to eat relax or read a book.There are hammam (warm bath) and free Wi Fi.

• La maison d'hôte 'Ruslan Guest House' est située près du site de la source sacrée 'Chashma'.  Quatre grandes pièces sont décorées d'ornements muraux Tadjiks. La famille de la pension 'Ruslan Guest House' produit également des broderies artisanales Suzani qui décorent les chambres. Dans la belle cour ombragée un sofa vous attend pout manger, vous relaxer ou lire un livre. Il y a un hammam (douche) et le wifi gratuit.

• You can watch or participate in the preparation traditional dishes or bread baking in a tandir oven. You will have a shared kitchen at the property. 
• Vous pouvez regarder ou participer à la préparation des plats traditionnels ou de la cuisson du pain dans le four tandir. Il y a également une cuisine collective.

IN NURATA / A NURATA

• You can visit attraction place “Chashma” spring. This place is famous for holy spring “Chashma Ayub”. A great scholar saint and popular mystic man of ninth century who Spread Islam in this region. 
•  Vous pouvez visiter la source 'Chashma'. Nurata est célèbre pour sa source sacrée 'Chashma Ayub' (la source de Job). Un grand saint savant et mystique du IXème siècle qui a répandu l'islam dans la région

• Alexander the Great built a small fortress to watch the ennemy from the northern part. Behind the fortress, a path leads to bronze's age petroglyphs.
• Alexandre le Grand a également construit une forteresse pour surveiller l'ennemi venant du nord. Derrière la forteresse, un sentier mène à des pétroglyphes de l'âge de bronze

• Here you can visit ruins of two old castles which dating back to unknown period. Also, visit Nurata mosque from eight century.

• Vous pouvez également visiter les ruines de deux vieux châteaux dont la construction est inconnue. Visitez enfin la mosquée du IXème siècle.

AROUND NURATA / ENVIRONS DE NURATA

• In Nurata town a taxi who knows well the region can be hired for an 120km (round trip) excursion Dungalak Kazak (Nomad people) village in the desert Kizilkum after to Lake Aydar where you can go for a refreshing swim, bird watching or a picnic. 
• De Nurata il est possible de prendre un taxi avec un chauffeur qui connait la region pour un tour de 120 Km (aller retour) dans le désert de Kizilkum qui vous mènera jusqu’au village de Dungalak Kazak (nomades) puis jusqu’au lac Aydar ou vous pourrez vous baigner, observer les oiseaux ou pique niquer.

• You can also take a nice 5 hours (round trip) trekking into Zulkarnayn village to admire Petroglyphs and holly tombs. (it is a very small  village that dates back to the time of Alexander the Great).
• Vous pouvez aussi faire un beau trek de 5 heures (aller retour) jusqu’au village de Zulkarnayn pour admirer les pétroglyphes et des tombes sacrées. (c’est un petit village datant de l’époque d’Alexandre le Grand)

 

• In Nurata town a taxi who knows well the region can be hired for an 80km (round trip) excursion into the Chuya valley in the shadow of Mount Nurata Ak Tov mountain, and stop by the kariz ( The construction of kariz is a unique underground water pipeline  system near Nurata which is also connected with the name of the Alexander the Great).
• De Nurata il est possible de prendre un taxi avec un chauffeur qui connait la région pour un tour de 80 Km (aller retour) dans la vallée de Chuya au pied du  mont Nurata Ak Tov et faire un arrêt au kariz (un kariz est un système d’irrigation souterrain unique au monde prés de Nurata, datant lui aussi de l’époque d’Alexandre le Grand) 

• In Nurata town, a taxi who knows well the region can be hired for a excursion 80km (return) Gazgan village to admire old mosque (9th century).  On the top of the hill of Pashshod, you can observe around immense steppe.
• De Nurata il est possible de prendre un taxi avec un chauffeur qui connait la region pour un tour de 80 Km (aller retour) pour admirer le village de Gazgan et sa vieille mosquée (9eme siècle). Au sommet de la colline Pashshod on peut voir la vaste steppe.

• In Nurata town a taxi who knows well the region can be hired for a 240km (round trip) excursion around the village Sentob to see the mosque, local school and the village shop. Visit ruins of ancient fortress, watermill and medieval Arabic stone script site (fragments from Koran).The valley is great for bird watching and has a very diverse flora.
• De Nurata il est possible de prendre un taxi avec un chauffeur qui connait la région pour un tour de 240 Km (aller retour) jusqu’au village de Sentob pour y voir la mosquée, l’école ainsi que l’artisanat local. Vous visiterez également les ruines d’une ancienne forteresse, un moulin et vous admirerez une pierre médiévale ornée d’inscriptions arabes (fragments du Coran). La vallee est propice a l’observation des oiseaux et d’une flore variée.

How to get there / Comment y accéder

•  You can reach Nurata from Samarkand, or from Bukhara. In both case, take a bus or a shared taxi to Navoi, and then a shared taxi to Nurata.

•  Vous pouvez accéder à Nurata depuis Boukhara ou Samarcande. Dans les deux cas, prenez  un bus ou un taxi collectif jusqu'à Navoi, puis un taxi collectif jusqu'à Nurata.
